Foster Hall
Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County · Utah
Erected by NA
Westminster College came to this Sugar House campus in 1911, and Foster Hall belongs to the building years that followed under President Herbert Reherd. Raised alongside Payne Gymnasium in the 1920s, it was converted to a dormitory in 1926 and has stayed in service ever since — one of the older working buildings on a campus that has torn down and replaced most of its early halls. It later took the name of the Jewett family's arts-and-humanities center. The columned brick entrance you see faces a college that grew up around it.
