Lehi Veterans Memorial Building
Lehi, Utah County · Utah
Dedicated on Memorial Day 1926, this Lehi landmark claims a distinction: it is said to be the first municipal building in the country raised to honor the veterans of World War I, its bronze tablets carrying the names of the town's servicemen and servicewomen. Home to American Legion Post 19, it has been nearly everything a small city needs over the years — library, jail, city hall, fire station, and gathering place for countless community events. Since 1996 it has housed the Hutchings Museum, Lehi's cabinet of natural and pioneer curiosities.
