Rollie's Camera
Sedona, Coconino County County · Arizona
Erected by City of Sedona
Sedona's red rocks made careers behind the camera, and this shop belonged to one of the first. Bob Bradshaw ran his photography business here, his images of the canyon country appearing in Arizona Highways and his own books. For half a century he was also part of Sedona's movie trade, when Hollywood used the buttes as a stand-in West; he scouted locations and supplied the horses that turned up on screen. Rollie Houck bought the shop in 1961 and gave it the name it still carries, a storefront tied to how the world learned to picture Sedona.
