Ouachita Parish High School
Monroe, Ouachita County · Louisiana
The school's three-story Jacobean Revival building went up in stages between 1924 and 1937 at 500 South Grand and joined the National Register on April 9, 1981. It now houses senior apartments as Ouachita Grand Plaza. It replaced an 1890s building near St. John and South Grand streets that held primary and middle grades until 1957, then served as storage and was demolished in the early 1960s to make way for Interstate 20. The school itself moved in 1986 to a campus on Louisiana 594 in Millhaven.
