Logan Temple Marker
Logan, Cache County · Utah
Erected, 1984
The Logan Temple stands on a bench above the city, a castellated landmark of dark limestone and quartzite visible for miles across Cache Valley. The Latter-day Saints began it in 1877 and finished in 1884, much of the labor donated by valley settlers who quarried, hauled, and built it as a community undertaking. This Sons of Utah Pioneers marker remembers that effort. Of Utah's early temples it's among the most striking in setting — a fortress-like silhouette on the hillside that still organizes the way Logan sees itself.
