Jackson Gate

The name is a gap in a rock. Jackson Gate stands on the north fork of Jackson Creek, and the state says it is named for a fissure in a reef that crosses the stream. No state plaque was ever put here; the missing plaque list files it among the sites where a California plaque appears never to have been erected. The Clinton granite mentions the place in passing, as the ground where a church moved in 2003 now stands.
