The Monroe Civic Center Arena
Monroe, Ouachita County · Louisiana
Erected 2023
Elvis Presley played five sold-out shows here between March 1974 and May 1975, but the arena's bookings ran well past him. The Jackson 5 came on April 5, 1971, then in 1973 and again in 1977. Ike and Tina Turner and B.B. King shared a bill on July 8, 1971. The arena seats 5,600, expandable to 7,200, and has also housed hockey teams, among them the Monroe Moccasins from 1997 to 2001 and again since 2024. The trail also credits Bob Dylan, Prince, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn with appearances.
