Joffrion-Roy-Luke Home
Marksville, Avoyelles County · Louisiana
New Orleans architects Favrot and Livaudais designed this Greek Revival house with Colonial touches for the Marksville attorney J. W. Joffrion, known as Buddy, and the firm left another mark on Avoyelles: the 1916 Thomas A. Lemoine House in Moreauville, listed on the National Register in 1985 as a high-fashion house. The Joffrion House was listed earlier, on August 11, 1982. Both Lemoine houses, the other an 1885 Italianate cottage moved to Hamburg in 1978, were listed on July 18, 1985.
