Gentry Dugat

Mineral, Bee County · Texas
Erected 1972

Gentry Dugat's local work shows in two things the plaque does not mention. He designed the official Bee County flag, built on the Texas flag with the year 1858, and his wife made it. In Pettus he was a charter member of Masonic Lodge No. 1308, chartered December 2, 1948, where he framed portraits of the lodge's past masters and hung them in the temple, and he gave the lodge a Currier and Ives painting of George Washington. The county history by Camp Ezell gives his birth as April 25, 1895, near Mineral.
