Fant-Ewing Coliseum
Monroe, Ouachita County · Louisiana
Erected 2025
Students ran the concerts here. KNOE reports that Charles Mac McDonald, a former dean of student affairs, created the union board, now the Campus Activities Board, and students negotiated the contracts, handled advertising with TV and radio stations and sold the tickets. The coliseum became the site of almost all of ULM's Spring Fever concerts, and acts over the years have included Ray Charles, Chicago, Kenny Rogers and Sha Na Na. It is also the university's basketball arena. The trail paid for this marker with more than $5,000 from the ULM Opportunity Fund.
