Central Station
Shreveport, Caddo County · Louisiana
The Louisiana and Arkansas Railroad built the station in 1910, and its time as a passenger terminal was short. By the early 1940s passenger operations had moved to Shreveport Union Station, so the building served rail travelers for about three decades. The National Register listed it on May 28, 1991, together with a small freight depot next to it. A railroad town's passenger traffic could change hands between stations without the buildings ever coming down, and this one did.
