Canadian Escarpment
New Trementina, San Miguel County · New Mexico
This board describes a view it no longer has. HMdb's 2007 photographs show it at an earlier site beside a canyon; it now stands on NM-104 at New Trementina, below the escarpment's wall, where the ground lies near 4,900 feet. The 6,300 feet it prints belongs to the rim country above. Trujillo, fifteen miles back up NM-104, sits near 6,440, and the highway loses about 1,500 feet between the two. The grasslands the panel sends northwest begin at the top of that step, not here.
